The Advocate: Our Story
The talented literary & artistic works of aspiring young minds
The Advocate Logo
“Η γλώσσα κόκαλα δεν έχει, αλλά κόκαλα τσακίζει”
This ancient Greek proverb loosely translates to, “The tongue has no bones, but bones it breaks.” Our founder, Harper Teague, chose this proverb to be The Advocate’s slogan because it highlights the fact that every story, work of art, and literary piece holds an important message no matter the subject. Proving that any piece can make its viewer experience any and all emotions. Secondly, Our logo was designed by our Executive Developer, Owen Russell. The logo depicts a narcissus flower (daffodil), yet another tie to Greek mythology. The flower symbolizes creativity, reflection, and self-love. Three traits that correlate to The Advocate’s cause; which is why the mythology-based flower was chosen to represent us.
Club Overview:

The club has many different categories including (but not limited to): photography, articles, novels, poems, song-writing, music, and visual art. This club is a safe space for all AMHS students to share their work, gain publicity & experience, collaborate with others, and most importantly, meet new people!
