circling the Earth

like a lonely star

wondering its worth

but it’s just too far

surrounded it may seem

alone in actuality

understanding the dream

some sense of morality

just a ball of gas

to feel is an illusion

though warmth does pass

it’s always disproven

awake all alone

light still shines

maybe we’re prone

to wait in lines

for just a day

our own supernova

us to burn away

but we sit on the sofa
