my mother is

independent

strong

loyal

my father is

wise

kind

and

charismatic

and my mom is

fierce

outspoken

and

intelligent

my family is made of fighters

for we are:

survivors

idealists

realists

dreamers

strategists

poets

singers

builders

chefs

CEOs

veterans

business women, full of power and poise

and men with morals and perseverance

mothers

fathers

sons and daughters

brothers and sisters

aunts and uncles

nieces and nephews

cousins, close and far

grandchildren

grandparents

the old and new

loved and lost

found and forgiven

past and present

the promise of the past and the gift of our future

my family means the absolute world to me

and i'm lucky to have the privilege of knowing and loving each and every one of them

these qualities 

traits

morals

beliefs

and wise words

were given and gifted to me by them

and although i'm not related by blood,

we are all sewn and wound together through these traits

together we are infinite;

and we will always live on in each other

for our love in life will be our legacies…
